I am so excited for the rest of the weddings I have this year. I only took a limited number of weddings (to focus on being a Mommy) so not only did these couples choose me to shoot their weddings, but I chose them as well. I really wanted to work with awesome couples that value photography and make it a priority. I absolutely adore and love all of my couples this year and I feel so honored to be a part of their weddings.
Leslie and Husam were no exception. Leslie follows my blog and her thoughtful comments always make my day. When I’m around both her and Husam I feel like I’m around old friends. They are just so warm and inviting. And those are the best weddings to be a part of. The ones where I’m emotionally invested as well. I’m not going to lie. Totally teared up four times at this wedding – 1) When Leslie’s cousin and bridesmaid sang during the ceremony. 2) When Leslie spoke Arabic during the ceremony and Husam’s mom gasped with surprise and pride. 3) During Husam’s Dad’s toast. It was so touching to see how much he loves Leslie. 4) During the Mother and Son dance. This one gets me every time now that I have a son.
Leslie and Husam were married at the LA River Center. I’ve shot an engagement session there a while back, but it is an absolute gorgeous venue for a wedding! Every vendor there was so great to work with. Leslie kept commenting on how the day ran so smoothly because of her awesome vendors. While I think that was part of it, I also think that having a very organized bride who was so kind to everyone helped. As well as having a great family and bridal party to work with.
Leslie and Husam, I wish you both nothing less than a lifetime of happiness. You two are perfect for each other and I can’t even tell you how grateful I am to be a part of your wedding. Thank you! Here’s your slideshow!

Leslie made her jewelry! How talented is she!

And she bedazzeled her shoes!

You may remember Ginger from their engagement session. I love this picture because I remember how important it was to me for Hauggy to be at our wedding. While Ginger didn’t get to go to the wedding I know Leslie will treasure this picture of her and Ginger together.

First Look

Love these socks Leslie gave Husam

Instead of doing a traditional bouquet toss Leslie MADE a bouquet out of paper (doesn’t it look real) and tossed it with a gift certificate to CPK (yummy) to all of her guests. Isn’t that a great idea? People actually wanted to catch it!

I told you it’s a gorgeous place to have a wedding!
