I know you all have been dying to see this wedding. Remember Tara and Daniel? The UCLA softball and baseball player? They were married last weekend at The Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach. Wow! There were so many amazing things about Tara and Daniel’s wedding. Where do I begin? While the details were beyond spectacular (and you’ll see them below), the best thing about this wedding was how emotional it was. That is the thing I love most about my couples. The emotional connections they have to each other and to their family and friends. By far my favorite part of Tara and Daniel’s wedding was the fact that her brother married them. He became an ordained minister online and performed the best ceremony I’ve ever seen. It was funny, touching, emotional. I honestly don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. It was so, so, so special.
The first dance was the best I’ve ever seen (I know I say that every time, but they keep getting better and better!). It’s not something that translates well with pictures, but hopefully we’ll get to see it when their awesome videographers finish up their video! I’ll be sure to post it here. And poor Tara’s dress caught on fire during the cake cutting. She got a little too close to the candles, but luckily one of the employees from the resort saw it and put it out! I wish I had a picture of it, but luckily the flames never got big enough. Tara and Daniel were such good sports about it!
T and Milty, thank you from the bottom of my heart of letting me finally photograph a Bruin wedding! It was a dream come true
I got chills when everyone did the Eight Clap! You know how much I love you two. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day. It was amazing! Hope you’re having fun in Fiji! Here’s your slideshow!
Tara’s amazing and spectacular dress from Karoza Designs in Glendale. Tara showed me a picture of her dress at her engagement session and it was even more beautiful in person.

This is her reception dress. I’m not going to lie. I thought it was the flower girl dress when I first saw it (Tara is that tiny!). How fun is it?

Tara and her bridesmaids all had couture hair designs. Love it!

Flowers from the always awesome Square Root

Her shoes had “T” on the heels! How fun!

Tara gave her headpiece a name. Sheila.

I loved the bows on the back of the girls dresses

The girls took a boat to the ceremony

A couple quick shot of the handsome guys

Instead of the doing the traditional sand ceremony, Tara and David got dirt from the pitcher mounds at the softball and baseball fields at UCLA. LOVE it!

I don’t usually post any family formals, but this shot of Tara with her brothers is priceless!

I think Tara looks like a model in this shot

My favorite detail from the day. The seating charts were actually batting lineups. So unique!

First dance. I would highly recommend their band, Jordan Music Entertainment. Great band and super nice as well!

The end

Wow! I love the pictures- congrats to the happy couple! The one kissing next to the boat is very cute and the “sand ceremony” is one of my favorite personalizations ever! With love, the child of Bruin parents, Leslie
Absolutely amazing.
Wow Drew these are awesome! I really love the one of the bride on the bow of the boat, that could totally be in a magazine!!
Awesome pics! Are you using a flash in the reception shots? Or is that lens really that amazing?
that was one fancy pants wedding. white balance seems to be key in getting alot of those shots, eh?
