Mr and Mrs Carrillo

You know how people say it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day?  I guarantee if you ask any bride who’s wedding got rained on and they would tell you they would rather have sun than good luck!  As I drove out to Palm Springs for Kendra and Alex’s wedding I drove under a few rain clouds, but luckily it cleared up as I got into town.  It was a bit windy.  And colder than it should have been in Palm Springs, but it was beautiful and sunny!

Kendra and Alex’s wedding was a little bittersweet for me as it might be my last wedding.  I say “might” because I’m not going to say I will never shoot another wedding again, but I’m going to take an extended vacation from weddings to focus on my portrait business and my family.  It was a good wedding to end on.  I knew Kendra was meticulous and detail oriented.  But, Kendra and her mom totally blew me away.  From the custom linens to the lucite name cards.  It was all magnificent.

Of course, it didn’t hurt that they had Jaclyne from Heavenly Blooms on your team.  She is so unbelievably talented.  And the Viceroy Palm Springs was the perfect backdrop for the wedding!

Beyond all the gorgeous details I was just so happy to see Kendra happy.  She literally glowed the entire day.  Kendra and I went to college together and were in the same sorority.  But, it wasn’t until the past couple of years where we have really gotten to know one another.  Alex can make Kendra smile like no one else can.  They were just meant to be together and I could not be happier for them both.

So, here it is.  My last wedding.  I’m not going to say goodbye.  I’ll just say so long for now :)

What a great wedding, I love all the details. This is a great inspirational post for me. I have a winter wedding this weekend, so this was great inspirations for the night time shots and the OCF.

Wow… that shot of the bride in the doorway…STUNNING! If that were me on my wedding day, I would have to have a huge canvas of it printed!!! These are all gorgeous…now take a huge deep breath…no.more.weddings….for now!
