I have too many good things to say about Ki Hyun and Andrew. I feel like we are old friends. Our very first consultation they were over for about two hours. We just talked and talked and immediately clicked. Then we shot their engagement session at their alma mater, Cal, and I almost missed my flight (like running onto the plane almost missed my flight) because we were having so much fun. I think I was just as excited about their wedding as they were! Ki is so thoughtful and sweet. Always making sure that everyone else is taken care of. Andrew’s laugh makes me laugh. I told him when I’m having a bad day I’m going to call him just to hear him laugh. Andrew and Ki are perfect for each other. They don’t even need to speak their love for each other. You can see it in the way they look at each other, the way they can laugh at and with each other, and how much fun they have together.
I knew it was going to be absolutely amazing because of their great coordinators from Pleasant Surprise Events. I’ve never worked with them before, but over the past year I really got to know them. I love coordinators who take care of the vendors as well. It is so helpful when coordinators keep me in the loop and help my day run smoothly as well. Because ultimately when my day runs smoothly the day runs smoothly for the bride and groom as well.
The wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. It was a fantastic venue with a fantastic staff as well! I’m excited to shoot there again in June! It was supposed to rain that morning, but it ended up being a gorgeous day with the sun peeking out right before the ceremony.
Ki and Andrew, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! It was such a memorable day with lots of love and laughter and I’m so glad I was able to be there! I’m so happy to have gotten to know you two over the past year! Here’s your slideshow! I hope you are having an amazing and safe honeymoon in South Africa!
Ki Hyun is a teeny, tiny thing. Her Monique Lhuillier gown was just as teeny, tiny, but it was absolutely breathtaking and was perfect for Ki.
Another pair of Christian Louboutins! Be still my heart!
Ki was charging $1000 per person who cried. I hope she collected before they left for their honeymoon because I count $3000 right here!
Isn’t Ki a stunning bride?
And her bridesmaids weren’t too bad either
The handsome (and very fun) guys
The flower girl had a little trouble making it down the aisle. She was too cute!
I think this is my favorite shot of the day. I love Ki’s Dad standing behind them after giving his little girl away
I stole Ki and Andrew immediately after the ceremony because the light was just too good
And then we headed across the street to the beach for a few more pictures
Fiori Fresco were the masterminds behind the design and Robinson’s Flower did the gorgeous flowers.
Andrew and Ki had the best first dance I’ve ever seen. It was a totally choreographed routine to Fiest’s “1, 2, 3, 4″. It was hilarious and so cute!
One of my favorite DJ’s, Jason from Visions Entertainment, got the party going with Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”. It gave me chills when everyone formed circles around Ki and Andrew and started singing.
