Corrie & Thom

Corrie has been our sitter for over 4 years.  Which is crazy to me.  Brayden had two amazing sitters before her, but Corrie is all he remembers.  Kennedy, who affectionately calls Corrie “Coco”, has never known a life without her.  She was 19 or 20 when she started with us.  As the years went by her friends started getting married.  Corrie never really mentioned any boys.  There were a couple here and there, but nothing ever too serious.

Then all of a sudden there was Thom.  Every time she mentioned Thom she got all giggly.  Even blushed a little.  I know it’s cliche to say, but I’ve never seen her that happy.  And then I unconsciously started looking for a ring on her finger every time she came over.  Before I even met Thom I knew he was the one for Corrie.

Brayden was a different story.  He had an honest dislike for Thom before he met him.  He told me that when he met Thom he was going to kick him in the knees.  Because Brayden loves Corrie.  She is his first crush and he thinks she is the most beautiful girl in the world.  I think his poor little 6 year old heart was crushed.  But, then they finally got to meet Thom and there’s not a whole lot to hate.  I don’t even think Brayden attempted to kick him in the knees.  Which is a good thing for Thom because he is a strong kid.  From the short time we’ve spent with him we can see how kind, genuine, and fun he is.  Corrie and Thom are perfect for each other.  They really are.

We can’t wait for your wedding, Coco.  Well, I can’t.  B and K I’m sure will be excited to walk down the aisle on your actual wedding day (fingers crossed!).  I hope you know how much it means to us that we get to be there with you on your special day.  You are part of our family and we are so grateful for you and excited to see you and Thom start your lives together!
