Last week my friend Trista and I headed up to Solvang for a workshop with Jose Villa. I think it’s so important for photographers to educate themselves and learn from other photographers who inspire them. And Jose is one of the photographers who continually inspires me. His work is so effortless. It’s clean and simple with no heavy photoshopping (he’s a film photographer). Every image is just beautiful.
I had a great time learning and meeting new photographers. The great thing about workshops is you not only learn from the photographer who is teaching, but also from the other photographers who attend. Jose was so open and giving. It was a rad day. And it was even radder because Trista and I sped home in less than 3 hours and made it for the last half hour of the Britney concert! OMG! I was 20 all over again screaming, “I love you, Britney!”. It was a great day! Thanks, Jose! And also a special thanks to Mar with T.E.A.M Hair & Make-up, Renae’s Bouquet, and our awesome models Jocilyn, Mark, and Natalie.
