Brayden is 1 Month Old!

When I was pregnant every mom I met told me to enjoy my baby because they grow up so fast. I didn’t believe them. Especially during the first couple of weeks that dragged on and on. But now I realize they were so right. I honestly cannot believe my little guy is already a month old. He has already gotten so big and strong. At his doctor’s appointment last Friday he weighed 10 pounds, 10 ounces! That’s close to 3 pounds in 3 and a half weeks (he weight 8 pounds, 3 ounces but then went down to 7 pounds, 9 ounces the day after he was born). His personality is really starting to show too. Here are some of Brayden Bittel’s likes and dislikes:

His big brother Hauggy

Walks in his stroller

His UCLA mobile

Tummy time with Daddy

All his grandparents

Kisses from his Mommy

UCLA basketball

Diaper changes

Getting his picture taken

Nap time

Baths (although he did have his first bath two days ago where he didn’t cry!)

Anything USC

I don’t want to jinx it, but I think we’re starting to get him on a schedule! I’ve been working really hard the past couple of days to implement it and although we’ve had some tears I think it’s going to make Brayden a happier baby and Chuck and I happier (and better rested) parents. Last night he only woke up to eat twice and didn’t cry or fuss at all! That’s a huge accomplishment!

So happy birthday to my Brayden Bittel! I love my little guy more than words could ever express and I can’t wait to see what life with him brings next!

I bought this chair at an antique store this past weekend. I’m going to be taking Brayden’s picture with it every month to see how much he grows!

Oh my goodness!! What a sweet baby! My kids would have gone balistic if I’d put them on a chair like that. Can I borrow him for some pictures??? He’s so cute! :)

  15. So stinkin cute! Love love the chair and the cutie little man in it! Such beautiful pics. We take a pic of isaiah (almost) every monday and put it on our family blog. It is so crazy to look back at the changes over the first few months. I totally hear you on how slow things seemed to go at first and then all of a sudden you realize how quickly time has gone by. Isaiah is 5 months already! By the way- he totally hated naps too. It just got better around 3 months or so. He was a half hour napper- almost to the minute. Tough for trying to work from home! But- he just started solids (rice cereal) a couple of weeks ago and now we’re getting one 1- 1 1/2 nap :) Getting on a schedule can definitely be tough, but it is totally worth it! Things will be much easier & happier soon :) Love the updates! Will he be sportin some blue & gold on thurs?

such a cute idea! I can’t wait to see the Month 2 pictures! Don’t know if you already have it or not but I’m pregnant with my first and I’m reading the Baby Whisperer book…. it’s incredible and offers some really good ideas for implementing schedules. (well… considering I’ve never had a baby… I’m assuming that they’re good ideas)
Congratulations on having such a beautiful baby boy (who looks just like his daddy!)
