The Nygaard Family

November 23rd, 2009

What is better than ice cream for lunch, jumping on beds, good light and a loving and beautiful family?  Honestly, not a whole lot!  I loved shooting this family!  And it was a great surprise that Jeff is a UCLA alumni.  A great volleyball player, actually.  Renee and Jeff’s two little girls are gorgeous!  We already know they have their mom’s good looks and if they get their dad’s height they are both going to be supermodels for sure!

Thanks Renee and Jeff for inviting me into your home!  Here’s your slideshow!

The Imus Family

November 18th, 2009

I already went into detail about why I love this family so much here, but I will say again that I look forward to their shoots very much every year.  This is the 4th year now that I’ve shot the Imus’ family session.  This year was a little different because now Jennifer is a photographer too!  She did a mentoring session with me this past summer and her pictures are really looking awesome!  I’m so proud of her!  We took the time to do a few head shots during their session as well.  I was a little nervous that Ron wouldn’t like me this year because I talked Jennifer into getting a bunch of expensive toys camera equipment.  However, it was the total opposite.  He couldn’t be more supportive and proud of her and he’s really genuinely excited that Jen’s doing something that she’s passionate about.  It was really cool to see!

Enough talking!  Here’s the pictures and the slideshows!

The Payne Kids

November 15th, 2009

Things I loved about this shoot:

1)  Awesome, fun and stylish kids!

2)  They actually listened to me and took direction!  8 and 10 are awesome ages for pictures!

3)  They enjoyed getting their pictures taken!!

4)  A brother and sister who really like each other!!!

I had been looking forward to Hunter and Cameron’s shoot for a long time.  Their mom, Hillary, told me they were like Hansel and Gretel.  Always together and they really, truly enjoy being with each other.  I love working with kids of all ages, but it’s really nice to work with kids who are old enough to take direction.  And not only that, but kids who also really like getting their pictures taken.  I don’t know what Hillary did to make her kids so great, but I’d love for her to give me a few lessons!  If I decide to have a second (which is never going to happen so don’t hold your breathe!), I would love for them to be as close as Cameron and Hunter.  You can tell that Hunter is such a protective older brother.  And Cameron just adores him.  It was so much fun capturing their unique relationship!  Here’s the slideshow!
