During my initial consultation with Ryan and Romy, Ryan nonchalantly mentioned that his Great Great Great Great (I can’t remember how many greats there were) came over from Europe and planted one of the first vineyards in California AND that his parents now own a couple of vineyards in Northern California AND one of them just happens to have a barn on the property. Then I very nonchalantly mentioned that the vineyard would be an absolutely amazing location to do their engagement shoot. Well, actually, I wasn’t very nonchalant about it. I pretty much begged and pleaded with them to do their engagement session at his family’s vineyard. I mean, how cool is that? They have their own vineyard!!! Lucky for me Romy and Ryan are super cool and agreed that it was a really good idea to do their shoot up there. So, on Labor Day weekend Chuck and I headed up to Sacramento for the weekend. I shot promotional shots of the vineyard on Saturday and then shot Romy and Ryan’s engagement session on Sunday. We were lucky enough to hang out there for two fabulous afternoons. It was such a relaxing and beautiful place to spend our weekend. We saw wild turkey, deer, and even a fox! I loved getting to know Romy and Ryan better. They are seriously so awesome! And there wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu next summer is going to be so much fun! I can’t wait!
