My Two Favorite Kiddos!

A few weeks ago I met up with my BFF, Michelle, and her kids, Owen and Emma, down in their neck of the woods.  You may remember the Demolition Derby cars from the Abadie Family session.  As soon as I saw those cars I knew that Michelle would love them so we made plans to do a session down there fast in case they moved the cars.  Well, as soon as we pulled up to the parking lot they were towing them away!  I was so sad!  But, we went ahead with the session anyways.  Owen and Emma weren’t super into the session.  They were more interested in French Fry (aka Brayden Bittel).  The kids are obsessed with French Fry.  It’s really cute how much they love him.  Chuck even said that we need to hang out with Owen and Emma without Brayden because they don’t pay attention to us anymore!

I always love shooting this family because they have an amazing sense of style.  I’ve asked Michelle for all of Owen’s old clothes.  They are the ones who got us hooked on Small Paul.  They have the best clothes for boys!

I’ll be doing their real family session soon, but for now here are a few of my favorites of my two favorite kids in the whole wide world!

This is where Owen started getting serious about his modeling

I didn’t realize exactly how pale my child was until I edited these pictures!  He needs a tan!

The Bittels on the Other Side!

Yesterday my amazingly talented friend, Trista Lerit, did a photo shoot with us and we had so much fun!  I saw a shot once with a baby sitting in between his mom’s legs and I just absolutely fell in love with it and knew I wanted a shot with Brayden and I like that.  Last week I realized Brayden was practically already crawling and if I wanted to get that shot I had to get it NOW!  I knew I wanted a preppy, slightly retro look to the shoot and I really wanted an antique baby carriage.  Lucky for me I found one at the Orange Circle last weekend.  I went in the store and asked how much it was and the lady told me it was $385 and I must have gotten a sad face because the guy in the corner said, “I’ll give it to ya for eighty bucks.”  $80 I can do!

Trista styled the whole shoot.  I’m wearing her dresses and shoes!  Those shoes were so high I couldn’t even walk in them, but they did look good!  She should be a stylist as her second job!  And Carina is the one who made me look good.  Note to brides, please book Carina NOW!  She and her associates are absolutely amazing.  And she just opened a new studio in Costa Mesa which is just gorgeous!  She even did my hair because the curls started to fall.  How awesome is she?

Trista, Chuck and I thank you from the bottom of our heart.  I know how crazy busy you are this time of year and it means so much to us that you took time out of your hectic schedule for us.  I’m so lucky to have you as a friend!  You are such a talented photographer.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Here are some of my favorites.  Go to Trista’s blog to see the rest!

Mr. & Mrs. Durst

Sandy and Dave were married on September 6 at Eucalyptus Lane in Ventura. Eucalyptus Lane is a hidden gem! It’s a gorgeous venue complete with an old barn, garden, broken down piano, and a trampoline! I love how the reception was held in the rustic barn with twinkle lights, candles, and chandeliers. It was just spectacular!

Sandy and Dave, I hope you had a fabulous time in Kauai! How could you not there? Congratulations and here is your slideshow!
