I was so excited when Baby Kirra’s mommy, Erin, asked me to come shoot her baby pictures. Kirra was 3 weeks old when I went out to do her shoot. And being the big 3 week old that she is she didn’t want to sleep or stay in any position that we put her in. So she stuck her tongue out at me and cried a bit. She’s a stubborn little baby. Which is funny because my BFF Christy says that Erin and I are a lot alike. And I’m very stubborn so it would make sense that Kirra is stubborn as well
Kirra’s daddy, Jenner, is a huge surfer. I love that Kirra is named after a surfing break in Australia. Isn’t that cool? I have a feeling that Kirra is going to be a surfer too so maybe one day Kirra and Jenner can surf there too
Congratulations Erin and Jenner! She’s absolutely gorgeous!
See! I told you she stuck her tongue out at me!
My favorite heart rug
Love this surfboard shot!
Can you guess where Mommy and Daddy work?
When I got pregnant last year I kind of became the unofficial pregnant photographer expert. After I had Brayden I got a lot of emails from photographers who were either expecting or hoping to be expecting soon. One of those emails came from Katy Regnier. She emailed me to ask me the logistics of what to tell clients and how to handle weddings that were close to her due date. I was very, very lucky to have two amazing photographer friends help me at my weddings when I was VERY pregnant (thanks Trista and Jasmine!) and it was such a relief to know that if I wasn’t able to make it to their weddings that they would be in good hands. Since Katy was local I offered to help her out if she had a wedding where she needed backup. When Katy found out she was having twins we both knew there was probably no way she was going to make it to her last wedding before her due date so I was more than happy to help!
That last wedding was Tara and Tyrone’s wedding. I’m always nervous for weddings, but I was even more nervous for this wedding because I had never met Tara and Tyrone before. Never even exchanged an email or phone call with them. And they didn’t even hire me to shoot their wedding so I just really, really wanted to do a great job to make them happy and to make Katy happy! As soon as I met Tara all my nerves went out the window. She’s so friendly and inviting and to top it off she’s a BRUIN! Hallelujah! Finally, a UCLA bride!
Tara and Tyrone had such a gorgeous wedding on the campus of Ambassador College in Pasadena. Their wedding was only the second wedding on campus! Tara planned every, tiny detail herself. I loved, loved, loved the yellow bridesmaids dresses and all of the yellow details. Absolutely stunning!
Tara and Tyrone have been together since high school and they are so sweet together. They have such an amazing life ahead of them and I’m so grateful to have been a part of their wedding! Congratulations Tara and Tyrone and I hope you are having an amazing honeymoon in Croatia!

I loved all the yellow touches!
Such a cute flower girl!
I love this shot. Tara showing off her bling after the ring exchange!
