I took my Diana camera with me on our recent vacation to Maui. The Diana is a toy camera, much like a Holga. They are totally unpredictable and are known for their light leaks and problems with film advancement (which I obviously had!). These images are far from perfect, but I think that’s why I love them so much!
I am passionate. I am a mom and a wife. I am loyal. I am driven. I am a photographer… and not in that particular order. I included photographer in the “I am” list because photography is more of who I am rather than what I do. My connection to clients runs deeper than snapping shots of momentous occasions, but rather capturing the occasions that are momentous. My passion is to find those moments and document them frozen in time.
Yes, I am the photographer who will end up crying as you recite your vows and laughing as you joyously depart for your honeymoon. I’ve always felt the need to connect with my clients on a personal level to capture photos that relive the emotion of that singular moment, with the personalities that are spontaneously original and
completely unplanned.
My gift is capturing the moments that will eventually be momentous… because photography is part of who I am and not what I do.

I’m glad to see these. I just received my first roll back from my Holga and I thought I was doing something wrong. I for sure have an issue with film advance. Every one of my photos did this. I liked it, but had one of my boys that was so awesome and would rather have not had it
