Busy, Busy, Busy!

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. I’m trying to get caught up before my wedding season really begins. I just got a nasty text message from my BFF, Christy, yelling at me for not updating my blog. Can we say demanding??? ;)

This weekend I have Jackie and Stephen’s wedding at Arroyo Trabuco, which I’m really excited for. Excited because I get to see one of my BFF’s, Liza who is the maid of honor. And also, because I’ve known Jackie for forever. It will be so much fun to be a part of her wedding day! And then next weekend I go to Idaho for Rachel and Matt’s wedding. SO excited for Idaho! I’ve never been there! And then the following weekend is Chelsea and Sean’s wedding. Well, everyone should know why I’m excited for their wedding. You remember this shoot at the Viceroy, right? Yeah. That’s why I’m excited!

And today Nikki and Jeff’s wedding is featured on The Bride’s Cafe! So exciting! I read a few (okay, a lot) of blogs everyday. I think I’m up to 103 now on my bloglines account. Some of these are other photographers blogs, some are wedding blogs, and some are random blogs that have nothing to do with weddings. I feel that it is my “job” to stay on top of everything that has to do with weddings and wedding photography. One of my favorite wedding blogs is The Bride’s Cafe. So you can imagine how excited I was when Janie agreed to feature Nikki and Jeff’s wedding! Janie is such a sweetheart and is an amazing florist in Virginia. I wish she was closer because she seems like a really cool girl. So, be sure to check out parts one and two of Nikki and Jeff’s wedding over there!

Lastly, do any of you moms out there have any tips on how to teach Brayden Bittel how to roll over from his stomach to his back? The kid is driving me crazy! He will roll over from his back to his stomach and then he starts crying so I put him back on his back and then two seconds later he’s on his stomach again crying! It was easier to teach Hauggy how to roll over! That dog will do anything for a treat. Right now Brayden fell asleep on his stomach, which I know is a no no, but I’m watching him closely making sure he is breathing. He’s too cute!

And this cute quilt that he’s laying on was made by my BFF Christy’s (yeah, the one who sent me the nasty text message) very talented mom, Tina.  I love it and obviously Brayden does too!  It’s my most favorite baby gift that I’ve received.  I love hand made gifts.  They are the best presents!  Thank you very much, Tina!

That is such a cute quilt. Is this the only 4 month photo you are posting? hehe – I want more! And tummy sleeping is ok! If they roll that way and keep on sleeping, they are fine, I believe. You just shouldn’t start them off that way. :) You are cracking me up with your rolling baby. Do you swaddle? That would be the only way to solve that currently… Otherwise, you are just waiting until he masters the roll around the other way which will be whenever he learns it himself. Just a few more weeks of torchure. I swaddled Sam until 4 or 5 months and G is still swaddled. He doesn’t roll over yet though. Sam never really moved… but G is a mover and a shaker so I might have the same problem soon!

Have fun with all the weddings and traveling! Can’t wait to see more pictures!

You also need to switch over to Google Reader. It is SO MUCH BETTER then Bloglines, I swear. :) Just export your OPML file from Bloglines into Google and try it out for a few days… You should try it sometime!

I loved how Brayden is crossing his feet! That’s my favorite aspect of this photo. Be sure eat some spuds in Idaho! That’s probably the only thing they’re famous for.

Aww, Drew B. You made us Bliss ladies very happy today. Not only did you post a new blog (finally!), you also posted the cutest picture of little Brayden Bittel laying on the coolest quilt ever!!! See, the “nasty” text message benefited us all. ;) I can’t wait to see all of the amazing pictures and blogs to come over the next couple of weeks. Your blog always makes my day!

Congrat’s on being featured on The Bride’s Cafe! Nikki and Jeff’s wedding was one of my favorites!!!

  6. YAY Drew! That’s great news- it’s one of my all time fave weddings too :)

Brayden is looking gorgeous as always, love his little crossed ankles!

That blanket is so cute! I love the colors. Hi little Brayden! Look at those chunky cute legs!

  8. Lauren says:

Hey Drew! I’m so partial to Brayden’s name :) I just photographed my nephew Brayden’s birth last Friday! I love reading you blog :) You can check out some images and a slideshow on my blog!

  9. Isaiah definitely did that too for a couple of weeks! I think you just have to stick it out- he’ll get it down eventually. And then, next thing you know, he won’t go down for naps because when you put him in his crib on his back, he immediately flips over, pulls himself up on the side of the crib and then just stands up looking at you like, “what? did you actually think you could get me to lay down?”. This is the current issue in the Toney world :)
