Then Comes Baby

Kerry and Jason have an incredible love story.  They started dating in high school at the end of their senior year and after 6 months of dating they broke up.  Then, several years later, they found each other on the internet and began dating again!  Now, after 5 years of marriage they are welcoming their first little one.  How cool is that?

Kerry is a trooper!  At our shoot it was 103 degrees!  I was a little nervous for her because I remember how everything seemed about 20 degrees hotter when I was pregnant, but she did great.  I didn’t even see her break out into a sweat!  And I’m going to ask Jason to be my new assistant.  He was so great to have along, getting Kerry to smile and be comfortable in front of the camera.  He was so encouraging and sweet with her!  You can just tell he’s going to be a great dad.  Besides being an awesome assistant, he’s also an awesome location scouter.  My go to field had recently be torn down, but Jason came to the rescue when he remember a really great field (with amazing light!) that totally worked.  Great job, Jason!

Kerry and Jason – it was so great getting to know you two!  I’m so excited for you to meet Baby Luke very soon!  Parenthood is the hardest, yet most rewarding, fulfilling, and amazing thing I’ve ever had to do.  Life is going to change, but you will never, ever want to go back once you meet your little man!  I know you two are going to make excellent parents!   Congratulations and here’s your slideshow!

Although it was hot (very hot!) I had a great time with the Frisancho family!  They wanted green, which is hard to come by in Southern California in August, but we went to my trusty orange grove and made it work  Their two kiddos, Lauren and Andrew, were so great and easy to work with.  I mean, how could Andrew not be great with such a cool name  I told them I think he should be called Drew.  They said maybe when he’s older

Cristina doesn’t like to have her pictures taken.  I think she looks so gorgeous in this shot!  You can’t even tell that there were a bizillion bugs flying around them!

With wedding season in full swing it’s always nice to have a few family sessions thrown in for a bit of variety!  And this just happens to be one of my favorite families.  The Weise family were in town visiting from Colorado.  The last time I shot this family Avery, the little one, was only a couple of months old with a bald head.  Now she’s a big two (almost three) year old!  The two oldest girls, Haylee and Taylor, have also been flower girls in a wedding I’ve shot and even though they didn’t remember me I remembered them  Brooke and I went to high school together and it’s always fun to get to see her.  I can’t believe we graduated 11 years ago and now we’re both married with kids!  Crazy!  We’re so old  Although, I think we were the two youngest in our grade (or at least two of the youngest).  So, we’re old, but not as old as everyone else
