First Comes Love

I’ve been looking forward to Marisa and Jaime’s engagement shoot for a long time.  Not just because I knew they would be up for anything, but also because they were bringing Jaime’s vintage Monte Carlo!  I love shooting with cars!

I met Marisa at Ashley and Tyson’s wedding last year.  She did Ashley’s hair and makeup and did a fantastic job.  She now cuts my hair too!  If you’re looking for a great hair stylist in Orange County shoot me an email and I’ll give you her info!

This was the first time I had met Jaime and he cracked me up the whole time.  I love his Puerto Ricanness (is that a word?).  He works for Nordstrom and so of course these two were totally styling!  We had so much fun including getting kicked out of the location because Marisa was just too hot!  It’s always fun getting kicked out

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Mission Inn this August!  Here’s the slide show!  Oh, and Jaime, the song is dedicated to you because I couldn’t get it out of my head for days!

I had a mentoring session scheduled for Saturday, but the photographer canceled at the last minute.  I felt bad for the models because I knew they were excited and when I called Alyce she was pulling up to her hairdresser.  So, I decided to do a quick shoot for them.  I had a new location I wanted to check out anyways and it was a gorgeous day!  The location is rad and I think it will be great for an engagement or maternity session!  What I love about it is the Freeway Complex fire came through the area and burnt most of the trees, but there’s an orange grove that is mostly untouched.  The hills that were completely burnt a couples of months ago all have beautiful yellow flowers now.  It’s awesome to see the beauty that can come out of something so destructive.  Here are a few of my favorites!
