Cassandra and Stella

Cassandra is my little sis.  Not my real little sis, but my sorority lil sis (Tri Delts are what?) and I never get to see her because she is a globetrotter and lives in lots of fabulous and fun places.  Currently, her and her husband are living in London.  How fabulous is that?

This shoot was originally a maternity shoot.  Cassandra’s best friends surprised her with the shoot while she was visiting for her shower.  But, due to horrendous weather and tight time constraints we couldn’t make it happen.  I’m kind of happy it got postponed though because I got to meet Miss Stella!  Stella is going to be one well traveled lady.  Cassandra traveled from England by herself with Stella.  That is SO brave!  I was afraid to go to the grocery store by myself with Brayden when he was three months old!

I’m so happy I got to meet my “niece”!  She is already as beautiful as her mom and I’m sure she will be as caring, funny, and intelligent as well!

Mr and Mrs Kushi

My last first wedding of the year.  I think I have decided that I am no longer going to be booking weddings after this year.  It’s a hard decision to make, but one that has been on my heart for a long time.  I don’t want to miss a single second of my kids lives and booking weddings so far in advance means missing birthday parties, kids sports, and my own friends weddings.  It’s an easy decision to make when I haven’t shot a wedding in six months.  But, now that I had my first wedding of the year the decision isn’t as easy.

Or at least Yvonne and Jon haven’t made my decision so easy.  See, when I shoot a wedding like theirs it’s hard not to love my job.  When the love is so evident and effortless.  When I have butterflies in my stomach when they see each other for the first time.  When I have tears in my eyes as they exchange their vows.  How could I not love my job when I am so lucky to document a couple like Yvonne and Jon’s love?

So, we’ll see if I stick to my decision or not.  It’s easier said than done :)

Yvonne and Jon were married at the beautiful Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.  I absolutely loved shooting with the skyscrapers towering above us.  I had never been to the concert hall before and was just astounded by it’s beauty.  I can see why Yvonne and Jon waited two years (and changed their wedding date!) to get married there.  Not only is it spectacular, but the staff was so kind and accomodating.

Platinum Weddings by Kerrie did a fabulous job bringing Yvonne’s vision to life.  I was so in love with their monogram and love how it was used in so many different places.

I think Jon likes fast cars.  Yvonne got him an exotic car tour for his wedding gift.

Jon loves Yvonne = Joy

Breathtaking, right?

The day couldn’t have been more perfect!  Thank you Yvonne and Jon for including me.  It has been such an honor working with you for the last two years!  Now, move back to LA so I can photograph your baby pictures when you start a family!  :)

The Fiamengo Family

It’s been about two years since I’ve photographed the Fiamengo family.  And I wouldn’t have even recognized Caroline if it weren’t for those eyes.  She has the most spectacular eyes I have ever seen and I kept having deja vu as I photographed her.  Here she is at six months:

Two years:

And now at Four years:

Caroline was the best, little assistant ever!  And she is about to become a big sister!  I’m so excited for Nicole and Thomas to welcome their next baby girl, Emma Kate.  She is named after one of their favorite books that they read as a family.  I’m sure she will be just as smart, kind, and beautiful as Caroline!  I can’t wait to meet her!
