Link Love

Happy Monday, everyone!

Brides, have you visited Elizabeth Anne Designs lately?  I love that site.  It’s so full of great inspiration and resources!  I recently got an expanded listing in their library and I just love it!  Check it out here and vendors can got more information on how to get their own expanded listing here.

Another great wedding planning resource is The Lounge from LA Style Unveiled.  April and Patrick’s engagement session was featured recently and I also saw this morning that Marisa’s bouquet was blogged there today as well!  Check it out!

Cristina and Mike

It’s always nice when your clients have had some experience in front of the camera before.  Cristina just happens to be the cousin of an awesome Southern California photographer and has been lucky enough to do 2 engagement shoots with her so far.  So a BIG thank you to Denise Bovee for not only referring Cristina and Mike to me, but also for prepping them and making them such great subjects to shoot :)  Love ya, girl!

As I was editing their session tonight I got a sad email from Cristina with word that they may have to postpone their wedding, which is to take place on Labor Day weekend.  Cristina’s dad has been very sick and was supposed to be released from the hospital this week, but suffered some set backs.  I know Cristina wants more than anything for her dad to be there so if we could all send some positive thoughts and prayers (if you’re the praying type) to Cristina and her family.  I just hope that it works out as the best possible situation for all of them.  Cristina and Mike are such a loving, happy couple and I want nothing for the best for them both :)

Below are some of my favorites from their session and their slideshow

Mr & Mrs Dietz-Velez

It was just over a year and a half ago that I first met Marisa.  She was doing the hair and makeup for one of my favorite brides.  My last wedding before having Brayden.  Little did I know that just a year and a half later Marisa would now be a friend and my fabulous hair dresser.  I didn’t meet Jaime until their engagement session.  I had  heard a lot about him from friends and friends of friends and he didn’t disappoint.  Not only is he one of the nicest grooms I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with he is also one of the funniest AND most stylish.

My favorite thing about Marisa and Jaime is not how gorgeous they are or how nice and caring they are, but it’s how they make each other light up when they are around each other.  Jaime can get Marisa to smile like no one else.  Marisa can get Jaime to laugh like no one else.  Not only are they totally and completely in love, but they love to be together.  They’ve been together since high school and you can tell.  They are so comfortable around each other.  It’s an awesome thing to get to photograph a couple like that.

Marisa and Jaime, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day!  I had so much fun with you two!  I hope you are having the most amazing time in Italy together!  Can’t wait to hear all about it.  Here’s your slideshow!

Marisa and Jaime were married at the Mission Inn in Riverside.  This place was photographer heaven!

This mirror was Marisa’s grandmother’s.  Several women in her family have gotten ready on their wedding day in front of it.

Marisa told me that Jaime’s wedding outfit cost more than her dress so I was excited to capture all of the details

The knife kind of scared me a little.  But, it’s not their gang.  Just their skateboarding gang :)
